Did you know that there are currently six major mathematical problems, each with a $1,000,000 prize attached, waiting for a solution? These 'Millennium Prize Problems' represent some of the most profound unanswered questions in mathematics.
Established by the Clay Mathematics Institute in 2000, the Millennium Prize Problems offer a million-dollar reward for the first correct solution to each of the seven challenges. So far, only one, the Poincaré Conjecture, has been solved, by Grigori Perelman in 2003, who famously declined the prize money. The remaining six unsolved problems include the Riemann Hypothesis, P versus NP problem, and the Navier-Stokes existence and smoothness problem, among others. A successful solution to any of these could profoundly impact fields from computer science and physics to cryptography.
